Children's Ministries

Mission Statement

Benson Memorial United Methodist Church believes that children are a precious gift from God and have individual gifts to offer in the greater ministry of the church. It is the purpose of our children's ministry to help and support parents in the spiritual growth of their children through learning, playing, worshiping, serving, and fellowship.

Invite your friends and neighbors for this annual tradition!

In case of rain, we’ll gather in the Fellowship Hall.

To all our church family:

We’re collecting donations of Easter candy for all the eggs we’re filling and hiding.

Donation baskets may be found in the church office and in the narthex.

Please include only individually-wrapped and nut-free candies. Thank you, in advance, for your generosity!

Vacation Bible School 2019

“God is Good” is the theme for this year's Vacation Bible School. Plan to join us June 24 through 28, 9:00 a.m. to noon, when we'll embark on an epic African adventure where we'll explore God's goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that powers us through this wild life. Participant registration for potty-trained three- and four-year-old preschoolers and children in grades K-5 opens April 1. Many volunteers are needed to make VBS happen. Please contact Susan Myrick at or (919) 413-3636 to volunteer.
