To the Staff Relations Committee,
It is with sadness that I submit my resignation as Choir Director of Benson Memorial UMC to the Staff Relations Committee. This is my second resignation. After establishing and directing the full choral music program of this church, beginning in 1969, for 37 years, I retired in 2006. In 2014
I returned to only direct the chancel choir another 6 years, for a total of 43 years. In 2006, upon my retirement, the church honored me with the stained glass window designed from one of my paintings and placed it in the narthex. I shall cherish that memory always. I shall also cherish the fond memories of all children, youth, and adults in the different choirs who have sung under my direction. Since the pandemic is limiting our ability to gather and present our music at worship, it is an appropriate time for me to move on to the next chapter. Blessings upon Benson Memorial and all its endeavors. My great appreciation to all who have supported me during my years at Benson Memorial. I will continue to volunteer in the music ministry of the church as long as I am needed. I will continue to be engaged in the life of the congregation.
