We will be collecting cleaning kits (flood buckets) for hurricane relief until Sunday, October 21.

MERCI Center

The MERCI Center, located in Goldsboro, is a facility where you can help assemble cleaning kits, hygiene kits, and school kits. It's about an hour drive from our church campus. Click here for their address and for the hours they'll be open to receive volunteers. If you watch the video at the top of their page, you may see some familiar faces.

Disaster Response Call Center

The Disaster Response Call Center can use volunteers to manage calls. It is located in our Conference Headquarters at 700 Waterfield Ridge Place, Garner, NC 27529. Send an email to disasterresponse@nccumc.org offering your availability if you would like to serve in this capacity.

BMUMC Disaster Relief Coordinator

Bret Lehman, our Disaster Relief Coordinator would love to hear from you. You can contact him by phone at 919.961.3785 or by email at smarterplanetdc@gmail.com.

Bishop Hope Morgan Ward has asked the churches of our Capital District to offer relief, clean-up, and rebuilding assistance for the people affected by Hurricane Florence. Our immediate response is to donate funds through UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief). One hundred percent of your donation goes to response/relief efforts. You can give online and mark it for UMCOR, and we will direct it specifically to NC Storm Response. You can also put a check in the offering plate with UMCOR on the memo line.
