5:45 p.m. each Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall
(No Wednesday Night Meals during November 2019)
Wednesday nights are a busy time of fellowship and learning in the Benson Memorial UMC community. We invite everyone to share an informal meal among friends, both old and new. This is a time and an open place to voice prayer concerns and celebrate joys, and an opportunity to engage our hearts and minds together as we seek to be the people of God in our place and time.
Coming to our Wednesday night dinner is one of the best ways to get to know each other, so we encourage everyone, especially newcomers, to join us. We begin at 5:45 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall with a meal that provides valuable time to visit with everyone. The cost of the meal is $2 per person, and reservations are not required. The church provides beverages and the main dish (one meat option and one vegetarian option), and we ask members to bring a side dish or dessert to share.
After dinner, everyone makes their way to one of the many Bible studies offered. The program topics vary and typically include Bible study, social justice issues, theological and spiritual matters of concern to our church family, and activities for fun and self-improvement. For the little ones, we have childcare in the Fellowship Hall building, room 113.
We hope each one of you reading this will choose to come to our Wednesday evening meals and programs this year. Even if you don't stay for a Bible study, do come for supper! We look forward to seeing you there!
