Hi boys and girls!
Did you know that one of my favorite parts of the entire week is being with you on Sundays? It’s true!
Even though staying home is the best way we can love our neighbors right now, I still miss you so much! And so does the rest of your church family. So I want to read some books to you so it’s like we’re together again learning about Jesus!
If you have a favorite book that teaches you more about Jesus or yourself, ask your parents to send me the name of the book, and your favorite book might be the next one I read!
For the parents...
Though we can't be together in person right now, it's still so important to us that your children feel loved and know that they are still a vital part of our church family. I’m hoping these story time videos serve as one way to keep them engaged and help to keep families talking about Jesus and how to be more like him even when things get tough and scary.
Each video will offer ways that your child (and family) can respond creatively. We hope you'll share it with us! You can email or text me, or share in the comments of the video on Facebook.
Grace and Peace,
And be sure to visit each week for more stories! Listen to Ms. Cortney as she reads to you:
God created each of us, and that means we are full of possibilities! We learn, we dream, we wonder at the world around us. But we can also make mistakes and can feel fearful or sad. We can make good choices when we act with compassion and have empathy for others and
ourselves. Join Ms. Cortney for story time this week as we read I Am Human and find common ground and strive to be our very best selves!
This week’s story is The World is Awake
Rainy days are perfect for a book! Curl up and join Ms. Cortney as she reads The Big Umbrella. This seemingly subtle book has great big ideas about inclusion, hospitality, and welcoming others—all big ideas that Jesus teaches us about, too! Come along and find out just how many people fit under this big umbrella.
Join Ms. Cortney for today’s story time when we’ll read a playfully charming book with fantastical illustrations! When God Made You inspires us to learn about our own special gifts and how they fit into God’s divine plan while assuring us that we are deeply loved as a unique creation!
This week’s story is Be Kind, Be Brave, Be You!
Today’s story is called Happy Right Now
